Valorisation of Cultural and Natural Heritage through digital technologies for VET teachers

Webinar on Cultural Heritage and digital tools

Our third and final webinar focused on Cultural Heritage. We had the pleasure of hosting two esteemed speakers:

  • Mentor Bojku has a bachelor's degree in management in Tourism and Hospitality and presented the importance of cultural heritage and how to valorise it through digital tools, with a specific focus on tourism in Kosovo.
  • Giorgia Marchionni is Project Manager, Tutor, Trainer and Coordinator of the CRHACK LAB. She holds a Master degree in Management of Cultural Heritage (University of Macerata, IT) and a Post Graduate degree in Cultural and Historical Heritage (University of Macerata, IT). She is actively involved in activities focusing on the accessibility and usability of cultural heritage by persons with special needs.
Giorgia is carrying out a regional initiative, named ArteMIA, which explores the accessibility of cultural heritage by focusing on artworks preserved in select museums across the Umbrian Region (Italy). The project is implemented through Museotherapy workshops, incorporating photography, digital reprocessing, and immersive experiences. Its primary goal is to enhance museum accessibility for individuals with cognitive disabilities by developing tangible tools—co-created by the beneficiaries themselves. These tools facilitate a more inclusive cultural experience, ensuring that museums become spaces of engagement and participation for all. Beyond accessibility, the project fosters creative storytelling, empowering individuals with cognitive disabilities to reclaim spaces, express emotions, and take an active role in the cultural sphere. Through this process, participants not only engage with art but also contribute to shaping a more inclusive cultural landscape.
